Despite his team showing great quality in the early matches this season, Yanga Head Coach Miguel Gamondi said it does not mean they are safe and it will be easy for them to achieve success as it was last season
Gamondi has said that this season he expects to get stronger opposition from their opponents in all the competitions they participate in as every team is preparing with the goal of competing with Yanga
Gamondi reveals that he has always asked his players to fight harder as all teams are prepared to beat them
"Every team now wants to beat Yanga, we have to fight, we must not deceive ourselves that we are on a safe line, I am telling this even to my players, they need to increase their efforts and practice more every day so that we can be better every time because our colleagues are also increasing their quality to reach us or pass us by"
"And not only in football, even in life, you must have the pressure to make a living, to be able to pay taxes, take care of the house, feed the children, pay their fees, all this is pressure and that is what makes you pay attention and commit yourself ," said Gamondi
In this season, Yanga has set goals to defend the premier league title for the fourth season in a row, to defend the FA title for the fourth season having already returned the Community Shield they lost to Simba last season
After reaching the quarter-finals of the Champions League last season, Yanga has aimed to cross that stage this season where the Nationals first need to advance to the group stage
The first group ticket match will be played this Saturday in Ethiopia against CBE SA and the return match will be played in Dar es Salaam one week later
