Taifa Stars assistant coach, Juma Mgunda has said that the squad is now mature and ready to face Ethiopia tomorrow in the first game of Group H, to seek a ticket to qualify to play in the African Nations finals
Speaking at the team's training session held at the KMC Complex located in Mwenge, Dar es Salaam, Mgunda said the players have improved by 80 percent, and all that is left is to finish the remaining percentages so that they are 100 percent fit
"We have prepared the squad and your players are 100 percent fit, and we are finishing training today ready to wear Ethiopia"
"We have been talking to the youth about being ready to defend their country and represent it well, they seem to be well and ready for the match," said Mgunda
Talking about the match, he said their goal now is to win the game to put themselves in a position to play the AFCON finals again in Morocco, as was the case in the previous ones in Ivory Coast
"Always anything if you want the end to be good is to do things early, the importance of our match is to start winning and get three points at home so that before the trip we will be in an easy qualification environment," he said
Mgunda has said that they realize it will not be an easy match because even their opponents will come with such intelligence, so the coaches and players will have to do extra work to ensure that they work more effectively
The Information Officer of the National Football Federation (TFF), Clifford Ndimbo, said they have announced cheap tickets so that every Tanzanian has the chance to enter the stadium to cheer for the Stars, which is loaded with high-level players
