Yanga Information and Communications Manager Ali Kamwe has boasted that Yanga is serving African football after producing 14 players in national teams
Kamwe said that Yanga is the club that gave the most players to the national teams in this period and perhaps that could be a unique record
"We have produced 14 players in national teams, this is a record in my memory, there is no team that has produced a large number of players in national teams at the same time as Yanga did"
"We have given players to eight countries in Africa, so it is correct to say that we serve African football well"
"And this is where the importance of the wide squad comes in. Despite the absence of those players, the rest continue preparations for our first game of the second stage of the champions league against CBE SA"
"We will have one friendly match which is local, it will be held in our stadium at Avic Town. The remaining players will join their colleagues two or three days before traveling to Ethiopia to seek important results to take us to the group stage of the Champions League ," said Kamwe
Yanga will face CBE SA between September 13-15 with the first game being played at the Abebe Bikila Stadium in Ethiopia
