The New Amaan Complex stadium has been approved by CAF to be used for international matches including the African Champions League
ZFF spokesperson Spesho Kabwanga has said that the stadium was initially blocked because it did not meet some of the CAF criteria, but after important amendments were made, the stadium has been allowed to be used
"The New Amaan Complex stadium has met the criteria of CAF and has already received permission to be used in international matches. There are criteria and conditions that CAF gave us to ensure that we meet them before the stadium is approved"
"We made adjustments and took into account the criteria they gave us and we sent them proof of every improvement made and now the field is already allowed to be used," said Kabwanga
Kabwanga has given this explanation and denied the information reported by some media that the stadium does not meet the criteria of CAF and that is why it is not among the list of stadiums approved by CAF to be used in the Champions League and Confederation Cup this season< /p>
Yanga will face Ethiopia's CBE in the first round matches to compete for a ticket to the CAF CL group stage
The first match will be played in Ethiopia in the Abebe Bikila tournament on September 13-15 and the second leg will be played in Tanzania on September 20-22
The rematch may be played at the New Amaan Complex..
