Yanga head coach Miguel Gamondi said he expects this season to be more competitive but he has high hopes for his team to do well
Yanga starts its campaign to seek the premier league championship for the fourth consecutive season by meeting Kagera Sugar in a game that will be played at the Kaitaba Stadium, Thursday August 29
"We are ready for another league season, I expect this season to be more difficult than the last one because I believe every team is preparing to fight us"
"But I have more confidence in my team than last season. Now I know all my players well after working with them for a whole year"
"We have added seven new players who I believe will also add more strength to our team"
"We have had a good time of preparation and the important thing is we are going to compete with the aim of winning the championship once again although I realize this time it will not be easy either," said Gamondi
Since he joined Yanga last season, Gamondi has led Yanga to win three titles, Premier League, FA and Community Shield
In addition, last season Gamondi led Yanga to play in the quarter-finals of the Champions League after waiting for 25 years
Yanga has set bigger goals this season to win all domestic titles as well as to do better in the champions league
