It is only a matter of time, today the champions of Tanzania Mainland Yanga expect to meet Vital'O from Burundi in the first match of the preliminary stage of the champions league which will be played from 4 pm at Azam Complex Stadium, Dar es Salaam
Vital'0 are the hosts of the match after missing a field that has the reputation of being used in the championship managed by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) at home
Ahead of the match, the President of Yanga, Hersi Said, said this season they want to take every cup of the competition they will participate in but insisting on including the African championship
Hersi said that Yanga need to win the title and not reach the quarter or semi-finals stage of the championship that is held every year. The president said that the team they have this season has the ability to carry the big cup in Africa
"Each competition that we participate in this trip, our mission is to win the trophy, we put our foot in the Champions League matches, a great mission and with the blessings of God, why should we not be the first team in Tanzania to bring the African championship?" said Hersi
And the Head Coach of Yanga, Miguel Gamondi, said that the match will not be easy but he has talked to his players about how to do it and especially make good use of the opportunities to score goals that will be available to leave with victory
Gamondi said the winning result will put them in a safer position towards the return game
"We want to play well and win well too, so that we don't have too much pressure in the next match, we want the next game to be easy, I think this is the biggest," said Gamondi
