The head coach of the Red Arrows of Zambia, Chisi Mbewe has said, after getting an invitation to play with Yanga at the peak of the 'Citizen's Week', it has been a good thing for them, as they are going to meet a strong team that will give them a new challenge.
p>The team, who are the champions of the Zambia Premier League (ZPL), will arrive any time from now to celebrate the important and eagerly awaited game that will be played on Sunday, August 4, at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam.
>"We are going to meet a good team that will be a good test for us especially at this time when we are preparing for the next season, it would not be easy to refuse the invitation they gave us because we believed they are also champions and will give us competition"
Mbewe added, he respects Yanga because it is a good team with good players, so he comes with a full squad because he takes the game very seriously, while stating that his goal is to continue getting good preparations for the next season.
"Everyone recognizes the size and quality of Yanga so we can call it the game of champions, it will continue to give us an image for the next season and how to look at shortcomings and how to correct them as it was also in the Kagame championship," he said
While the team is expected to land in the country at any time for the game, they have already signed the Congolese winger, Emmanuel Bola Lobota, who was being hunted by Yanga on a one-year loan from Singida Black Stars.
In addition to the Zambian championship, the Red Arrows are ABSA Cup 2024 champions, while also taking the Kagame Cup this year in Dar es Salaam, after beating Rwanda's APR on penalties 10-9, following a 1- 1, within 120 minutes
