Yanga head coach Miguel Gamondi has said striker Prince Dube is still not 100 percent fit due to not playing football for a long time
Speaking yesterday towards today's Mpumalanga Cup game against TS Galaxy, Gamondi, said Dube is not at his level and that is why his quality was not seen in the match against German Augsburg, who were beaten 2-1
"I think the players played well last match, but some did not do well because they have not played for a long time, for example Dube, he was not on the field for more than six months, Baleke was a little better, but others seem to be fit, but still some they need to get used to their teammates, know how their teammates pass the ball, and where the player himself should be in order to receive a pass from his teammates"
"In general there are some players who need to get used to their teammates to know how to play, but in general everything is going well," said Gamondi
The last time Dube was seen on the field playing a competitive match was on February 9, this year, when his Azam team played against Simba at the CCM Kirumba Stadium in Mwanza, with the teams drawing 1-1.
The Zimbabwean scoring a goal in the 14th minute, before being equalized by the Zambian, Clatous Chama in the 90th minute, and all of them have been signed by Yanga for the next season of the competition
Speaking of today's match, Gamondi said he will make sure every player gets the opportunity to show his ability because there is no specific number of reserve players
"I will give every player a chance to play for at least 15 minutes to show their abilities and make them fit, we are going like this slowly, little by little but surely," said Gamondi
After the match, Yanga will complete its matches on Sunday, where it is expected to play the Toyota Cup game, against the country's Kaizer Chief which will be played at the Bloemfontein Stadium
