According to the figures released yesterday by the Tanzania Football Federation (TFF), Yanga has taken the lead, bringing in a total of 141,911 fans for the season, followed by Simba which brought in 112,717 fans
The Mashujaa FC team, based in Kigoma, has placed third, bringing in 45,638 fans, while Tabora United is in fourth place, gathering 43,808 and Azam FC, has been fifth, bringing in a total of 35,379 fans.
According to the TFF statistics, the sixth place has been taken by Dodoma City, itself with 30,381 fans, Geita Gold which has been relegated, being seventh, bringing in 24,774, Coastal Union taking the eighth place, its fans are 24,161, Prisons fans are in ninth place, with 24,147 fans, and 10th place has gone to Singida Fountain Gate, which for the whole season has brought in 21,154 fans
Mtibwa Sugar is last, bringing in 7,529 fans, which is the number who entered the Manungu Complex to watch Premier League matches last season
However, Yanga was affected in income as 12 of the 15 matches they played at home were played at Azam Complex
