Yanga head coach Miguel Gamondi has congratulated his players for the 2-1 victory against Simba and put themselves in a good position to defend the championship for the third season in a row
Gamondi has pointed out that it was not an easy task to win the game considering that it was surrounded by many incidents outside the field
"The level of class from this group of players and the courage to deal with the off-field things done by our opponents in the build-up to this game"
"Challenges in the dressing room, referees, but in football the important thing is to play on the field and certainly in that area we are better"
"Congratulations to the players, leaders and all citizens," Gamondi wrote on his social network page
Yesterday Yanga was forced not to enter the changing rooms after it was found that drugs had been sprayed in those rooms
The officials in charge of the game allowed Yanga not to use those rooms after they were satisfied with the strong smell of drugs, different from the rooms used by Simba
Referee Ahmed Arajiga did a good job for most of the game but there were times when his decisions were controversial
Many goals were seen only on Yanga's side but they were also added 5 minutes after 90 minutes but the match was played for 8 more minutes
In the minutes of injury there is the incident of Ibrahim Bacca being fouled by Sadio Kanoute but he ordered a corner towards Yanga
Before the game, there were suspicions that some players were called to be persuaded by money to play below the standard
But the Citizen's Army was strong to ensure that it continues the tyranny against their countrymen
