The head coach of Yanga, Miguel Gamondi, has said that despite being able to emerge with a 2-1 victory against Simba, he has admitted that it was not easy while praising his players for working correctly.
Gamondi has said this shortly after the completion of the Kariakoo Dabi game where Yanga has scored 58 points and continues to focus on the top leaving Azam FC who are in second place with a difference of seven points. Simba with 46 points in third place, 12 points left.
In addition to congratulating his players for doing well, they have also made great strides in defending their Premier League title that they hold.
"Getting a result against Simba is not easy, the team has to fight because the opponent is strong, and that has been done by my players who followed the instructions I gave them," he said and added;
"I can't say who was the best among my players, all of them have shown quality that is not easy to see if they all didn't have the ability.
"Technically all have impressed me as each player has fulfilled his duties and the next thing is to move forward. This game is over, now the focus is on the remaining matches to secure the championship this season"
Yanga has eight matches left, it needs to win in six matches to reach 76 points which neither Azam nor Simba can reach, so it will announce the championship
