Yanga striker Hafiz Konkoni has said goodbye to his teammates as he is about to leave the country for the Dogan Turk Birligi club in Cyprus on loan until the end of the season
Konkoni has stated that he wished to continue being part of the Yanga team but it was not possible and therefore he had to leave to get a chance to play elsewhere
The striker added that he is leaving Yanga while he still loves it and is hurt by the debt of not being able to fulfill the goals of his registration
"It wasn't the right time for me to leave Yanga, I still owe a lot to the fans because I didn't get the chance to serve them enough, but I have no way. I've said goodbye to my teammates and the coach and wish the team all the best, I'm going to start a new life in the team I will serve," he said
Until he left Yanga, Konkoni scored only two goals, including one in the Premier League in a 5-0 win against KMC and another in the first round match of the African Champions League against Asas of Djibouti which was scored 5 goals. -1
His place has been filled by new striker Joseph Guede from the Ivory Coast who was introduced shortly before the transfer window closed on Monday night, being the second player after Ghanaian Augustine Okrah who replaced Jesus Moloko who was left
Yanga also signed local star young Shekhan Khamis from JKU club while also loaning Crispine Ngushi to Coastal Union club
