President of Yanga and Chairman of the Federation of African Clubs Eng. Hersi Ally Said has donated Tsh 10 million and Tsh 50 million from the sponsor Ghalib Said Mohamed at the Harambee event to donate to the national teams held yesterday at the Johari Rotana Hotel
The collaboration was led by the Prime Minister Hon Kassim Majaliwa who said the goal is to collect 10 billion Sh which will be distributed to all national teams
The President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan and her friends donated Tsh 500 million
President Samia calling to contribute to the fundraiser said;
"Sports are our responsibility, the responsibility of the government, the responsibility of Tanzanians, the government has worked hard to promote sports, the government has given incentives and the teams have responded to us," she said and added
"But we have reached a point where we have a limited budget, I am asking you to contribute so that our teams can compete and not participate, for starters my friends and I will give Shs 500 million"
