Ivory Coast defender Yao Kouassi has said he wants to do more in the NBC Premier League this season with the Yanga team
Yao has assisted five goals and scored one, he wants to break the record he set last season when he was with ASEC Mimosas of Ivory Coast.
The defender has said that when he was in Asec, he provided 12 assists throughout the season, something he believes if he continues with the speed he started with in the Premier League, he can reach it once the season ends with 19 matches and the Yanga team that has played 11 matches so far, taking second place and 30 points behind Azam
"When I was in Asec I assisted 12, but here I want to reach those or more, because with the way our team is, I see that there is still a chance because the league is not over yet as we are in the first round," said Yao who in his first season in the country he has been accepted quickly
"For me, scoring is not something very important to me, but if there is an opportunity I will do it, but something I like is to assist," he said
