JKU midfielder Shekhan Ibrahim Khamis yesterday completed his registration to join Yanga, being given a three-year contract by the champions of mainland Tanzania
His registration to join Yanga is said to be like a 'movie' because the midfielder had already reached an agreement with Simba and yesterday he was supposed to land in Dar by Azam's boat to sign the contract
What happened is that after the information reached Yanga Vice President Arafat Haji through his sources in the Zanzibar, he quickly 'overturned the table', sent Shekhan a plane ticket and landed in Dar in the afternoon
The talented winger who uses his left foot, finished with Yanga and then went back to Zanzibar to put his affairs in order before returning to start his duties
Yanga was the first to start the process of signing the player but later Simba intervened before Arafat kept them at the port for several hours until they heard that the player was already in the streets of Twiga and Jangwani
Shekhan's talent started at the JKU academy, then this season he was promoted to the big team and started mixing while he was also in the national under-18 team.
According to JKU coach Msellem Sultan Hemed said Shekhan has a great talent and that Yanga has found the best young player for the future
"I can say that this one will be more popular than Fei toto, I know all of them are good players but the thing that Shekhan excels at is the way he has time to play in many positions and with great ability, Yanga have found a special player," said Hemed.
