After returning from Ghana, Yanga squad today returned to training at Avic Town to prepare for the next game in the NBC Premier League against Mtibwa Sugar
The game will be played on Saturday December 16ht at Azam Complex, at 06:30 pm
Yanga head coach Miguel Gamondi said his goal is to see them do well in the game which will be part of their preparation for the fourth round of the Champions League against Medeama which will be played at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium, December 20th
"We are returning to training to prepare for the league game against Mtibwa Sugar which is the next one according to the schedule"
"At the moment we are focusing our minds on that game to make sure we win before thinking about the Champions League," said Gamondi
After his team landed Tanzania from Ghana on Sunday, Gamondi assured the Citizens that they still have a chance to qualify for the quarter finals of the Champions League and they will fight in the remaining three matches
Gamondi said he was not happy for his team's lack of victory in the game against Medeama which he believes they deserved to win but the referees were an obstacle
"We still have a chance, the good thing is that we still have a strong team to fight for our goals, there are things that you can't stop complaining about when you see them happen, it was a journey in which Yanga was returning with a victory, but it was not the case due to mistakes that are not ours"
"The important thing now is to prepare well, we have three matches in which we must change things so that the numbers are more for us, I am proud of my players and even our fans, especially these two home matches before going to finish away, we must give ourselves to a great extent, " said Gamondi
