The head coach of Al Merrikh Lee Clark has saidt it was not easy for them to face Yanga in the first leg game to compete for the ticket to enter the groups of the champions league in Africa
The game played in Rwanda saw the Citizens emerging with a 2-0 victory and putting themselves in the best position to qualify for the groups needing a win or any draw in the second round game which will be played on Saturday at the Azam Complex.
Clark has said that Yanga is currently one of the biggest and most feared clubs in Africa due to what they did in the Confederations Cup last season
However, he has said that his young men will come to Dar with the determination to win, despite being 2-0 behind
"Yanga is one of the most feared teams in Africa at the moment. We will respect them but we will not sit back. If Yanga managed to score two away goals, we can also score two away goals," he said
Al Merrikh has had a good history in the last six seasons, successfully playing in the group stage of the Champions League in Africa
It is clear that the match is not over yet, even Yanga coach Miguel Gamondi has said that they know the return game will be more difficult and they do not think about the results they got in the first game
"We haven't qualified yet, we have another tough match at home, we are preparing fully, we know Al Merrikh will come strong, they have nothing to lose so we have to be careful to make sure we do better at home," said Gamondi
