Yanga Sc is expected to play two friendly matches before facing Azam Fc in the Community Shield semi-final game which will be played on August 09 at the Mkwakwani stadium
Yanga head coach Miguel Gamondi requested 180 minutes to test his players ready for the Community Shield, the Premier League and the preliminary of the Champions League which will start in August 2023
Yanga may face AS Vita in one of those matches that will be played in Avic Town
AS Vita Club is in Tanzania for the pre-season where they will also play Singida FG next Wednesday at the Singida Day Festival
Gamondi has expressed his satisfaction with the performance shown by his players in the game against Kaizer Chiefs, however he has said that the match will not be enough to test his youngsters if they are ready for the new season
"I need two matches to see the quality and shortcomings of my players, one match cannot give me the light to believe that I have a strong and competitive team, ahead I have a difficult match that will determine my way to start winning titles"
"Everyone has seen the registration, but one match played cannot have the right answers to see the light of the team that needs to defend the titles we won last season," he said
