Goalkeeper Beno Kakolanya has admitted that many goalkeepers in Tanzania (including him) get knowledge from Yanga goalkeeper Djigui Diarra
Kakolanya, who is said to be on the verge of joining Singida Fountain Gate Fc after leaving Simba, said Diarra has gone through all the basics of goalkeeping, something that many goalkeepers in this country do not have
"I am personally happy to see Djigui Diarra in our league, he is a very good goalkeeper who teaches us many things to us native goalkeepers because he has gone through the basics of goal-keeping"
"Many Tanzanian goalkeepers emerge from the streets, we are not taught from childhood. For me Diarra is a teacher," said Beno
In the two seasons he served Yanga, Diarra has won the award for the best goalkeeper of the season this season leaving with other awards as the best goalkeeper of the African Confederation Cup and the best goalkeeper of the Azam Fc Confederation Cup
