The president of Yanga, Engineer Hersi Said, has said that they are in the final stages of completing negotiations to extend a new contract to the head coach, Nasreddine Nabi
Engineer Hersi has said that Nabi's contract ends at the end of this season but they have already taken steps to ensure that he continues to stay at Jangwani
"Let me assure you, Nabi is here to stay. Everyone has a contract that has a beginning and an end, his contract ends this season. But we have had a conversation with him that is in the final stages," said Hersi in an interview with Wasafi FM
Also responding to the rumors of striker Fiston Mayele leaving, Hersi said that Yanga is proud of Mayele, his demand by many teams is a sign of his quality and that of the Yanga club in general
He said the first task that the leadership will do is to convince Mayele to continue to stay at Yanga but if they fails then they will sell him at a price that will be profitable for Yanga and look for a qualified replacement
"The first task of the club is to convince the best player to continue to stay if it is not possible then we will sell him at a price that is beneficial to us and find an alternative player with qualities according to our needs," said Hersi
