Yanga Information Officer Ali Kamwe has congratulated fans who turned out in large numbers at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium to cheer on their team in the CAF Confederation Cup final game against USM Alger
The game has set a record for being attended by many fans as it is possible that those who entered the stadium today are more than 60,000
With the result not being good for Yanga, Kamwe has asked the Citizens not to give up because there is still another 90 minutes
"A big congratulations to our members and fans for coming in large numbers to the Mkapa stadium. History has been written. Perhaps this is the game attended by the most fans since the Mkapa stadium began to be used"
"We have lost the game but these are the first 90 minutes. There are still 90 more to fight in Algeria. Our record in away matches gives us the strength to believe more," said Kamwe
After losing at home 2-1 today, Yanga will need to score two goals against Algeria to have a chance to become champions
