"Regarding the construction of the stadium, we have a plot in Kigamboni but we also have an area that has a club building in Jangwani, we personally preferred to build our stadium at Jangwani and the procedures have already started to implement that," said Hersi< /p>
The construction of the stadium was one of the agendas of Engineer Hersi when he ran for the presidency of the Yanga club
One of the reasons that Hersi mentioned to build the stadium in Jangwani instead of Kigamboni where Yanga has a bigger area, is the ease of access for fans
Hersi said the experts confirmed to them that in their area of the old Kaunda stadium, they can build a stadium with the capacity to accommodate 20,000 fans
