Yanga Information Officer Ali Kamwe has asked fans to stop lighting fireworks, smoke and lighting torches in the semi-final game of the CAF Confederation Cup against Marumo Gallants which will be played on Wednesday May 10 at the Benjamin Mkapa stadium
Kamwe made the statement after Yanga was fined by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) for such incidents that occurred in the game against Rivers United
Kamwe confirmed that Yanga received a letter from CAF asking them to pay a fine of 35,000 dollars due to the events that occurred during the game against Rivers United and before the game where Rivers United complained that their bus was attacked and stolen amounting to 5200 dollars while they were completing the last training session at the stadium of Benjamin Mkapa
"We have received a letter with instructions from CAF, asking us to pay a fine of 35,000 dollars due to the events that occurred in the game against Rivers United. Yanga management will meet today to discuss the punishment as we have been given the opportunity to appeal if we think it is wrong"< /em>
"But the important thing is I tell my fellow citizens to stop fireworks, lighting fires, smoke and lighting torches during the match because we will be banned"
