In the second leg of the quarter-final of the CAF Confederation Cup between Yanga and Rivers United, Yanga coach Nasreddine Nabi started with seven local players
The entire defensive line was made up of Tanzanians starting from Dickson Job, Kibwana Shomari, Ibrahim Bacca and Bakari Nondo Mwamnyeto while Mudathir Yahya and Salum Abubakar 'Sureboy' started in midfield and Clement Mzize started in the attack line
In the premier league game against Singida BS in which Yanga won 2-0, Nabi started with the same line of defense
You can say from the second half of the first match of the first leg of the CAF Confederation against Rivers United to the game against Singida BS, the defense line of the natives stood as they made sure that Yanga did not concede a goal in the last three matches

This is good news for the Tanzanian national team 'Taifa Stars' towards the Afcon qualifier next month against Niger on June 12
Nabi seems to have made the job of Stars coach Adel Amrouche easier by creating an excellent defensive line that has gained enough experience in these CAF matches
The good thing is that all the players were called to the national team in the previous matches against Uganda where they all got a chance to play
It will not be surprising to see Yanga having many players in the Stars squad
