Despite of traveling with teh squad in Nigeria, winger Bernard Morrison was not part of the team that won 2-0 against Rivers United in the first leg of the CAF Confederation Cup quarter-finals
Yanga explained why Morrison did not play the game despite being part of the players who made the final preparations on Saturday
Yanga assistant coach Cedric Kaze said that Morrison had a muscle challenge in the last training so they felt it was not good to use him so that he could recover from those minor injuries
"Morrison had a little muscle problem in the last training session, as a technical bench we felt it was not right to force him to play because he could get hurt more," said Kaze
Since returning to the squad after recovering from injuries that kept him out for four months, Morrison is still not 100 percent fit
Yanga head coach Nasreddine Nabi gave him 15-20 minutes in some of the previous matches
