The head coach of Singida Big Stars, Hans Van Der Pluijm has said that despite there being four games left for the season to end, the best player for him so far is the striker and the top scorer in the Premier League, the star of Yanga, Fiston Mayele
Mayele scored one goal in a 5-0 win against Kagera Sugar and made the star reach 16 goals this season, reaching the record he set last season behind former Geita Gold striker, George Mpole who scored 17.
Pluijm has said that there are many players who have done well, but Mayele has shown great diversity
"Seeing a player score 15 goals for two consecutive seasons is not a common thing and many have not had that level. He has speed, knows how to organize himself, his composure in front of the opponent's goal and is a good finisher" he said Pluijm
The Dutchman also said that another thing that distinguishes Mayele from others is the lack of pride because some of them see that they are successful, they forget about themselves, which makes them lose their talent as soon as they get used to the environment in the area.
While Pluijm was talking about that, Mayele has a lot of work to do in the remaining five games for Yanga, as among them there are only two teams that he has not beaten, namely Simba, who he is going to meet this Sunday and the last game against Tanzania Prisons.
In the remaining games for Yanga apart from that, it is against Singida Big Stars who have already scored three goals (Hat-Trick) in the first game while Dodoma Jiji and Mbeya City have each scored two in the first round.
