President of Yanga Engineer Hersi Said has said they are happy with the draw on the quarter-finals of the CAF Confederation Cup where they will play against Rivers United of Nigeria
The draw that took place in Cairo, Egypt on Wednesday night, saw the Citizens being given to Rivers United, opponents who are not strangers to them
It was last season in the preliminary matches of the CAF Champions League, Yanga faced Rivers United and lost both matches at home and away with a score of 1-0 and found themselves eliminated from the tournament
Engineer Hersi said they remember the results and now it is their turn to punish the Nigerian champions
"We are happy to face Rivers United, this is a revenge match for us like the match against US Monastir. We are saying that we are going to beat Rivers United inside and out and reach the semi-finals of the CAF Confederation Cup"
"When we met them two years ago, they beat us in all the matches, however we were not in the quality we are now. We missed some of our key players due to permits but now we are at a better moment, hope for our potential," said Hersi
em>"After this draw I spoke to the players, they are happy because it is a match they really needed. Mayele told me that he really wanted Rivers United"

And Yanga Assistant Coach Cedric Kaze said that the draw has given them a good chance to advance in the competition
"This draw is good for us, with the quality of our team, I think we have a chance to do well and advance to the semi final," said Kaze
The first quarter-final match will be played in Nigeria on April 23rd and the second leg will be played at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium on April 30th
