Yanga Sc today held a ceremony to hand over financial documents from the former Chairman of Yanga Dr. Mshindo Msolla to the President Engineer Hersi Said whose leadership was elected on July 09 this year. The event was held at the Serena Hotel in Dar es Salaam
Speaking at a press conference, the President of Yanga Engineer Hersi Said said the exercise should have been done earlier but it was not done due to the delay in the report of the club auditor
"I know many are wondering why this exercise has been done now? It is because of following the procedures, if you remember in July 2021 the members of the General Meeting appointed the Auditor of the club's accounts for the 2018-19 and 2019-20 seasons. The financial report is part of the important documents in the handover procedure"
"We are happy to inform you that the report is completed and Yanga finance is clean and is one of the Institutions with good financial management. We congratulate Dr. Msolla and his Executive Committee for the good work they have done for this club"
"Today they officially hand over this report to us and we promise to continue the good work they did," said Engineer Hersi
Dr Msolla has thanked his fellow leaders of the Executive Committee whose leadership stepped in when the club was in a difficult situation
He said unity and cooperation is the only weapon that made them achieve what they did
Dr Msolla has asked the leadership of Engineer Hersi Said to ensure that the construction of the Kaunda stadium is completed as well as the registration of Members and Fans
He said that Yanga can complete big projects through fans and members who are many across the country
