Yanga Assistant Coach Cedric Kaze admitted striker Heritier Makambo was not on form in the premier league match against Geita Gold
However, Kaze said they had to use Makambo to rest Mayele who got injured while preparing for the match against KMC
"It is true that Makambo was not at his form today but we had to use him to give Mayele a break. The plan was to give Mayele no more than 25 minutes of playing time, he is coming back from injury and we will need to use him in the next match," said Kaze
In two matches against KMC and Geita Gold, Makambo has lacked concentration where he failed to use several open opportunities
Makambo was a favorite of Yanga fans, but now he needs to do extra work in the training grounds to get back to his former best
It should be noted that Yanga will improve squad in the min window, Yacouba Songne is ready to return after recovering from injuries
