In order to ensure that their team is strong towards the African Champions League tournament which is expected to start officially between September 9-11, this year, the Yanga will play two friendly matches before the tournament starts
One of the teams that Yanga will play will be against AS Arta Solar 7 of Djibouti, including some of the biggest stars who played for big European clubs, including Cameroonian Alexander Song and winger Solomon Kalou, citizens of the Ivory Coast.
AS Arta Solar 7, who are the champions of the Premier League Djibouti, have set up camp in Dar es Salaam to prepare for the Champions League and in the initial stage of the tournament they will start at home against Al-Merrikh of Sudan.
According to Yanga's Assistant Coach, Cedric Kaze, they will have a program of training and friendly matches during the period in which the league break allowing Taifa Stars to play matches to qualify for the African Nations tournaments for Domestic Players (CHAN), against of Uganda.
"We are going back to the gym to keep ourselves in shape as we are heading into tough games, we rested for two days and today we are going back to work," said Kaze.
