The Tanzania Premier League Board (TPLB), said that the issue of 12 foreign players registered to play all in one game will be referred to the relevant committee and that is where their fate will be decided
The Chief Executive Officer of TPLB, Almasi Kasongo has admitted to receiving various opinions from football stakeholders for the improvements to the rules of the Premier League for the next season of 2022/2023, while the issue of 12 foreign players is among those opinions.
"It is too early to say, we are still in the process, we will take it to legal meetings to decide because this is a matter of principle, not a matter for the Board, nor the TFF (Tanzania Football Federation), it belongs to the stakeholders themselves, who it is a club, they will decide how they want 12 foreign players," said Kasongo
In addition to that, the official said that the secretariat of the board will meet tomorrow to go through and present all the comments sent if they are correct and to discuss them in the relevant sessions.
