Former Spokesman of Yanga Haji Manara has filed a Complaint with the BMT against the judgment of the Ethics Committee of the Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) banning him from participating in football activities for a period of two years inside and outside the country along with a fine of Tsh 20 million
p>Speaking at a press conference at the Serena Hotel earlier today, Manara said he opposes the judgment because the regulations used were not registered with BMT
Additionally, Manara said that the sentence was aimed at humiliating him and preventing him from participating in the Citizen's Week Festival which culminates on August 06
Manara said that he has failed to appeal because until today he has not been given a copy of the judgment, which the Ethics Committee announced is available
He believes that he is being delayed to ensure that Citizen's Week passes and the Community Shield game so that he does not participate
"This judgment along with all the judgments issued by the Ethics Committee using the rules that have not been approved by the Sports Council (BMT) as the laws of the country indicate is INVALID. I have sent a complaint to BMT objecting to this judgment which does not follow the Laws of the country"
"But this judgment is also aimed at bullying and it is aimed at humiliating me and preventing me from participating in Citizen's Week with the Yanga club. There was no insult that I uttered to President Karia"
"President Karia shouted at me for no reason when I was talking to the Reginal Commissioner and this is not the first time he humiliated me in front of people"
"That day after the game, Karia uttered bad words to humiliate Yanga that my mouth cannot pronounce. These words were heard by everyone who was on the stage (VIP) and the evidence is there," said Manara /p>
"The committee denied me even the opportunity to defend myself because they rejected a valid statement from Temeke Hospital confirming that I could not attend the hearing because I was ill," said Manara
