The elders of Yanga Sc have instructed the leaders of Yanga Branches to meet urgently to issue resolutions on what to be taken following the suspension of the club's spokesperson, Haji Manara
The meeting of leaders of branches will be held on, Saturday, at the headquarters of the club in Jangwani, Dar es Salaam
Speaking to journalists earlier today, Elders expressed their dismay at the action taken by the Ethics Committee to ban Manara for two years and a fine of Tsh 20 Million
"We believe in this judgment there is pressure from the Minister of Sports (Mr. Mohammed Mchengelwa) because on the day of the premier league awards, he ordered strict action to be taken against Manara, which we think is wrong"
"Manara also had an argument with the President of TFF Karia, but we are surprised that only one person was called before the Committee and taken action?," asked Mohammed Msumi
The elders believe that the punishment given is heavy and they think that wisdom could have been used to find a resolution
"Mwakalebela na Bumbuli were banned too but later the Government intervened and wisdom was used to find a resolution. Why was that wisdom not used on Manara case which we see as two people who quarreled due to the pressure of the game between Yanga vs. Coastal Union?," said Mzee Msumi
The elders have said that they will ask to see the President of the country Hon Mama Samia Suluhu Hassan if this matter is not resolved quickly
