Election Committee Chairman Malangwe Mchungahela has announced the Yanga General Election which was scheduled for July 10, will now be held on July 09
Mchungahela said the change stemmed from a statement by the Supreme Council of Muslims (BAKWATA) announcing that July 10 will be Eid Al Haji
The election campaign officially opened today and will end on July 08
Mchungahela has also announced Mustapha Himba, a candidate for the Executive Committee won his appeal
Branches that did complete the election process must submit a list of five members who will participate in the election
Branches that do not submit names in advance, their members will not be allowed to vote
