Yanga Assistant Coach Cedric Kaze has asked players to focus on the Premier League matches ahead of them instead of focusing on the FA Cup semi-final match against Simba.
The FA Cup semi-final, will bring the teams together on May 28 at the CCM Kirumba Stadium in Mwanza and each team is determined to win the game to play in the final.
Kaze said both trophies are in their goals but for now they have to focus on the two league matches they face in order to keep themselves in a better position to claim the title than Simba' game.
"We are giving a lot of weight to the semi-final match against Simba but for now the players should not think about it because we have two Premier League matches before the game and we have to win to keep ourselves close to our goals and after that we will start thinking how to deal with Simba, "said Kaze
Kaze said although they lead the league by 10 points but that should not be a matter of confidence and failure to give priority to the remaining matches as the points they had are still not enough to give them the championship
On Friday Yanga will descend on Benjamin Mkapa Stadium to face Mbeya Kwanza then head to Mwanza to face Biashara United May 23
If Yanga wins these two matches and Simba loses in their next game against Geita Gold, Yanga will win the Title
