Before facing Simba in the FA Cup semi-final match, May 28, NBC Premier League leaders Yanga will play two key league matches
Yanga at the top of the league standings with 60 points, victory in those two games will make them reach 66 points and probably need just five more points to win the Title
On Friday this week Yanga will host Mbeya Kwanza in a match to be played on May 20 at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium
After the match, Yanga will head to Mwanza where they face a game against Biashara United which will be played on May 23 at the CCM Kirumba Stadium
It's a challenging schedule but surely if coach Nasreddine Nabi and his players succeed in winning these matches, they will take a very important step towards the 28th Title
Yanga spokesperson Haji Manara said they have put in place a strategy to ensure they get results in those games as they do not need to rely on results of their rivals, Simba
"We have a good chance of winning the title but we should not sleep as the work is not over yet. The next games are very important for us to get all six points. We need to win our matches to secure the title regardless of the results of our opponents," said Manara.
Yanga need only 11 points in the remaining six games to secure the 28th title
After the semi-finals of the FA Cup, the League will break for about three weeks to allow the CAF calendar, national team matches to qualify for the Afcon 2023
