Despite the spread of reports that Simba has already signed the player who scored six goals in the group stage of the Confederations Cup, Mwakalebela said that there is no truth as even Yanga is interested in the player
"They say they have signed him, ask them to show a pre-contract. You can't say the player is yours where even the contract doesn't exist"
"I assure you Yanga we have spoken to Adebayor, he is still not a Simba player, if they have signed him ask them to show a contract, even we can sign him," said Mwakalebela in an interview with TV3
