Yanga Assistant Coach Cedric Kaze said they have completed preparations for the Premier League match against Simba which will be played on Saturday at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium
Speaking at a press conference ahead of the game, Kaze said they have prepared the players physically and mentally to ensure victory in the game
"Derby matches are special and different, the statistics do not determine much we Yanga we have to lower ourselves and forget the points gap in the league and focus all our attention on achieving goals. Will remain for the players as the preparation will be concluded today "
"We have talked and reminded our players that they have to fight without thinking what is being talked outside because in a derby game, statistics and previous results are meaningless, only 90 minutes will determine the outcome," said Kaze
Despite taking precautions by respecting their opponents, Kaze said Yanga will not change their style of play
"Tomorrow we will not change, we will play like we did from the beginning of the league, we will improve the defensive discipline as we recognize the quality of the opponents."
Kaze also spoke about the injury situation in the squad where he said they will be missing only two players Chico Ushindi and Yacouba Songne who is improving after being out for so long
"Chico got into trouble yesterday and was taken to hospital and Yacouba has been out for a long time due to injuries"
The senior player in the Yanga squad Deus Kaseke, said they respect their rivals Simba, they are a good team but they are determined to make sure they win the game which will be played from 5pm
