Yanga striker Heritier Makambo says he believes his time to score goals in the NBC Premier League is near
Makambo has yet to find the net in the league this season despite scoring three goals in the FA Cup and scoring several goals in friendly matches
One of the challenges facing him this season is not having much time to play in the first team ahead of Fiston Mayele who has had a much better season
"The most important thing for me is to help the team get results regardless of whether I score or not, I will continue to fight whenever I am given a chance, I believe I will score in the upcoming games," said Makambo
In a friendly match against Mafunzo Fc played at the Azam Complex recently, Makambo scored one of Yanga's goals in a 3-2 win
In that game Yanga assistant coach Cedric Kaze said Makambo showed a good performance and could get more time in the first team in the remaining matches
Kaze said in the game they tried to use two strikers (4-4-2) where Mayele and Makambo played together in the last 30 minutes
He said due to the difficulty of the remaining games to end the season, there are some matches they will have to use two strikers
