Yanga Assistant Coach Cedric Kaze said the friendly match against Mafunzo Fc was a good test for his players ahead of the Premier League match against Azam Fc which will be played on April 06 at Azam Complex and other games remaining in the Premier League and FA Cup.
The match, played at Azam Complex, saw Yanga leave with a 3-2 victory, Yanga scoring through Mapinduzi Balama, Heritier Makambo and Fiston Mayele
Kaze said Yanga had a large number of players returning from injury while others did not get a chance to play in the first team regularly
Their use in the game has given the technical bench an idea of ββhow they can use them in the remaining games this season
"There are injuries and there are players who have trained for two weeks without a match, so now we want them to have the opportunity to play and see what they can offer"
"Some things were good and some were not, but is part of the football and I'm glad this has been seen on this match, which has given us a picture to go with in the remaining matches, because after this we will not have time to playing friendly matches and now the image we got from the players will lead us to the end of the season, "said Kaze
Yanga will begin camp today to complete preparations for the game against Azam Fc which will be played next Wednesday at Azam Complex
