Yanga defender Abdallah Shaibu 'Ninja' thanked Yanga leadership under GSM sponsorship for successful treatment of his knee injury in Tunisia
Ninja travelled to Tunisia for treatment with Kibwana Shomari, their treatment being 100% funded by GSM
In an exclusive interview with Yanga TV, Ninja said he started suffering from knee pain last season after the FA Cup match against Tanzania Prisons which ended with Yanga emerging with a 1-0 victory
"After the game I continued to feel pain and sometimes I did not feel it, but as I trained the pain increased"
"The time came when I was no longer happy playing football and even in training I became less active due to the pain I was feeling"
"I later told my leaders about a problem that was bothering me and that's when my colleague Kibwana also got injured and we were all sent to Tunisia for treatment"
"I am very grateful to Yanga leaders and GSM sponsors for making my treatment a success. It came at a time when I thought I could no longer play football, what they did is very valuable to me"
"I can't say how much it cost but it is very expensive. After treatment I had to stay out for three weeks, now I have completed four weeks and started light exercise"
"I hope in two weeks I will be fully recovered ready to return to the field," said Ninja
