The Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) is in talks with GSM to return their sponsorship to the NBC Premier League, it has been learned
On February 07, GSM announced official resignation as co-sponsor of the Mainland Premier League due to non-compliance with the Tanzania Football Federation (TFF)
One of the TFF leaders was quoted by Mwanaspoti newspaper, saying that they have already begun talks to see how GSM will return to continue as a Premier League co-sponsor
"What is happening now is to see how the challenges that have arisen are resolved and the talks are going well and there is some hope of finding a solution to this so that GSM returns to the Premier League," he said
In a statement issued by GSM while announcing their resignation, it was revealed that Simba Sc had violated the terms of the agreement such as mis-uses of posters and wearing the GSM logo
The GSM and TFF sponsorship agreement was worth Tsh 2.1 Bilion
Clubs have continued to wear the GSM logo as well as put up posters, indicating that the dispute could be resolved and GSM could continue to be league's co-sponsor
