Minister of Culture, Arts and Sports Mohammed Mchengerwa has said the Government intends to install state-of-the-art game monitoring (VAR) machines to alleviate the challenges that arise in football
Mchengerwa made the statement in Dar es Salaam today when he met with the officials of the Tanzania Football Federation (TFF).
"We plan to have monitoring equipment, we will start with five stadiums which is a Government initiative that we have considered because we are going to make infrastructure improvements to our stadiums," said Mchengerwa
In addition, Minister Mchengelwa said the Government has instructed the National Sports Council (BMT) and TFF to end the challenge on referees
"The committee responsible for the Referees should find a solution on what is going on, TFF should resolve it, but as a Ministry we instruct the BMT with TFF to look at how they can improve the situation"
"Also TFF should organize a Seminar for Football Referees where also our TAKUKURU Fellows will also be present to provide education"
