Yesterday the Minister of Finance, Hon. Mwigulu Nchemba, through his social media page, made it clear the Government's intention is to improve the stadiums and more likely to bring in the VAR system due to a series of refereeing errors
This will certainly be the right and beneficial decision to protect the status of our league which is now one of the top 10 leagues in Africa
These events have continued to happen and now it is doubtful when you see one team can always benefit
Arguments have been many but they cannot end this problem without the authorities taking action
I think now is the time for the football authorities in the country in collaboration with the Government to take action
In this season's league the sponsors have invested a lot of money and that has increased competition
Now that investment will be meaningless if referees still fail to give equal benefits to all teams
There are cases where you can say the referees are committing human error but there are instances of deliberately actions
This matter should be addressed as soon as possible as if patience of football fans comes to an end, there will be a disaster
