Lately there have been rumors that midfielder Congolese Mukoko Tonombe is leaving Yanga after refusing to extend his contract
Yanga Acting Chief Executive Officer Senzo Mazingisa said the reports were mere rumors, and were probably fabricated as Mukoko did not get a chance to play regularly in the first team due to the competition
However Senzo has insisted that Mukoko is a Yanga player, he is willing to fight for his place in the first team
"Who says Mukoko will leave?, only rumors stemming from the fact that our Player now does not get a chance to play regulary as he did in the past"
"But I really congratulate Mukoko for being a Professional. When you see a team having a lot of competition, now you are in the right direction," said Senzo
Mukoko is in Egypt with the DR Congo national team preparing for play-off matches in search of a World Cup ticket
The DR Congo squad also includes Shabani Djuma and Yannick Bangala
