On Friday 24 June 1994 in the town of Mbuji-Mayi in DR Congo was born Fiston Kalala Mayele weighing 3.5 kilograms
At the age of seven he started playing soccer at a Catholic mission school in the town of Mbuji-Mayi
Father Jean Baques notes that Fiston loved to play as a goalkeeper but due to his strength and ability to run they began to train him to play in midfield.
In 2008 his family moved from the town of Mbuji-Mayi in Kasai province to Kinshasa having already started maturity as youth atttacking midfielder
When he was just 18, Les Dauphins Noirs (The Black Dolphins) as they are nicknamed AS Vita club entered into a three-year contract with him as part of the Kinshasa youth recruitment to join the black pope.
"AS Vita is like my home and will always remain in my heart. Their friendship with Yanga SC is what made me here. Many of our AS Vita fans wear Yanga jerseys" said Fiston
Last season he finished second in the DR Congo Premier League's top scorer, preceded by TP Mazembe striker Jean Baleke. Mayele scored 13 goals and Baleke scored 14
