Yanga right-back Shabani Djuma has expressed surprise at the large number of fans who showed up at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium last week at the Mwananchi Day
The defender, who joined Yanga from AS Vita, said them players have a huge debt to the fans
He said that while in DR Congo he used to hear and see Yanga on television but after witnessing the crowd fill Benjamin Mkapa's stadium, he realized he had joined the biggest team in Africa
"Let me tell you, when I was in DR Congo I used to hear and see this club on television"
"But now I've got to witness its size, it has so many fans something that as a player gives you a thirst for success in every team participation"
"Either way this team is great and we as players have to do good things according to its size"
"The crowd I witnessed on the day of the inauguration, it is not a good thing to make them sad in a crucial match, we will fight to make them happy," said Djuma
Djuma is one of GSM's most expensive signings, with fans placing great faith in him based on his experience
