Members and leaders of Yanga Tanzania have been asked to promote Unity and Solidarity in the interest of their team
The call was made by Second Vice President Hemed Suleiman Abdallah at the inauguration of Mwananchi Week held at the Kariakoo conference hall in Unguja Yesterday
Hemed who was represented by the Minister of State, President's Office, Regional Administration, Local Government and SMZ Special Departments Masoud Ali, said the union would be very important for the development and prosperity of their club
For his part, the Chairman of the Information and Motivation Committee of the Yanga club Suma Mwaitenda said that Wiki ya Mwananchi which will be celebrated on August 29 this year, there will be various activities including entertainment and football while urging Wanayanga to do good things for the community.
Earlier Yanga Chairman Dr Mshindo Msolwa who was represented by Yanga Executive Committee Member Saad Mohammed Kimji, thanked the Revolutionary Government of Zanzibar for their co-operation since their arrival in Zanzibar
Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Information, Youth, Culture and Sports Fatma Hamad Rajab said the Ministry congratulates Yanga for coming to launch Mwanachi Week in Zanzibar.
The Citizens' Week started at 9 am with a procession that started in Kariakoo and went to the CCM Kisiwandui Head Office to visit the grave of the late Abeid Aman Karume who is the founder of Yanga
