Yanga Information Officer Hassan Bumbuli said the most valuable club in Tanzania is Yanga
Yesterday Simba Investor Mohammed Dewji said his club could not be given the same Sponsorship deals as Yanga as their team is big and have a lot of fans
It was a statement that sparked debate on social media, with Bumbuli among the commenters
"Yanga is the most valuable club in Tanzanian Football, we can run our events or activities without talking about any other team in the World, without boasting and without throwing bad comments to anyone or any team" < / p>
"Others are forcing the size of the brand by talking about Yanga every occasion," wrote Bumbuli on his social media page
In addition, Bumbuli told is Simba fans that the money Yanga will earn from the content agreement they signed with Azam Media, is enough to buy their club
"We signed the 34.8 Bil Agreement that we are getting. So we can write a poster like the one they were handed over, then give it to them and then own our percentage to them"
Yanga signed an agreement with Azam Media worth Tsh 41 Billion (including VAT) where they will reap up to Tsh 4 Billion per year
The money is twice the investment that Mo has paid to buy a 49% stake at Simba Sc
For Yanga those 41 Bills are money from only one Content Agreement with Azam Media. They have not yet commented on the proceeds from the sale of 49% of the shares that will be purchased by three or four investors when the process is complete
Internal reports have revealed that Yanga's estimated value is Tsh 200 Billion!
The size of the 'brand' is not measured by short-term success, Yanga is the historic Champion here in Tanzania collecting 27 major league titles
It is a team that has built itself over the years, as success has always been a part of it
There are transition times for each team. That's why even a team like Manchester United is the most valuable club in England
But their last English Premier League title was in the 2012/13 season!
