Acting General Secretary of Yanga Haji Mfikira said they are hopeful that they will win their case against player Bernard Morrison at the International Court of Arbitration (CAS)
Yanga's case against Morrison will be heard by the Court from Thursday, July 29 2021
Mfikiwa said the case will be heard fairly and they believe decisions will be made fairly too
"As CAS announced, the case will be heard on the 29th, decisions remain with them but for us we are not worried because we are sure to win," said Mfikiwa
Morrison is accused of signing a contract with Yanga and then denying the contract and went to sign with Simba
In its ruling, the Players' Law and Dignity Committee found Morrison had signed a contract with Yanga but claimed it had shortcomings and declared him a free agent
However, the case before the committee was to determine whether Morrison had signed a contract with Yanga or not after claiming that he had not signed any contract despite being confirmed to have taken Yanga's $ 30,000 cash which he was ordered to return
